This morning on NPR, Bob Edwards, or who ever it was, said that John Kerry served in Vietnam for "less than one year." It's nice to see NPR get so creative with the rounding. If he had said "only four months" it would have been more accurate, and for the same number of syllables. This is sort of like saying Kerry donated "less than $1 million" to charity last year.
